JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations and project activities of Electrical Technicians.
Responsibilities include overseeing the installation, rigorous testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of fire alarm and electrical systems.
Monitor and verify that all work is performed to the highest quality standards while strictly complying with established safety protocols.
Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate faults within electrical and fire systems, implementing effective solutions to restore functionality.
Oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance operations to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Ensure adherence to all relevant electrical codes, fire safety regulations, and established company protocols at all times.
Review electrical layouts, schematics, and fire system drawings to accurately interpret and understand their contents.
Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and project records as required.
Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and HSE staff throughout the installation and servicing phases to ensure seamless execution and compliance with safety protocols.
• Lead toolbox meetings to ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations, while actively promoting a culture of safety among all personnel.
Train, coach, and assess technicians to enhance their technical proficiency and operational effectiveness.
Respond promptly to emergency service calls and address system breakdowns as needed.
Ensure the appropriate utilization and upkeep of tools, equipment, and company-owned assets to maintain operational efficiency and asset longevity.
We seek candidates with proficiency in data analysis, project management, and proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems. Additionally, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related field, is required. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is a must.
HND, Diploma, or Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline are required.
Minimum qualifications include at least four to six years of hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of electrical and fire safety systems.
Requires a minimum of two years of hands-on leadership experience in a technical setting.
Demonstrates extensive expertise in fire alarm systems, emergency lighting installations, and electrical control systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency.
Proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues within electrical and fire protection systems with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
