Purpose Statement
To guarantee the secure and effective functioning of all electrical systems at the LPG tank farm in Ghana, this role encompasses the oversight of electrical panels, generators, gas detection systems, and metering/instrumentation, while adhering to regulatory requirements set by Ghana’s Energy Commission, EPA Ghana, and OSHA-equivalent standards.
Key Deliverables
Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment and systems, adhering to established schedules and manufacturer guidelines to minimize downtime and extend operational lifespan.
Performs corrective maintenance to restore equipment to optimal operating condition, promptly addressing failures, malfunctions, or deviations from performance standards. Diagnoses issues through systematic inspection, testing, and analysis to identify root causes. Executes repairs or replaces faulty components as necessary, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and manufacturer specifications. Documents maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent, to maintain accurate records. Develop and enforce structured preventive maintenance programs for electrical panels, generators, gas detection systems, lighting systems, cooling units, and the electrical components of pumps and compressors to ensure operational reliability and safety.
Perform comprehensive inspections of cabling, grounding systems, and protective devices to ensure the mitigation of electrical hazards.

Compile and present daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports on depot equipment for review by management and key stakeholders.
Oversee the comprehensive implementation of depot electrical and panel installations, cooling systems, pumps, tanks, piping and ancillaries, as well as metering systems for both electrical and process fluids, power generators, and general facility operations. Demonstrated proficiency in hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of technical issues is essential.
Perform work appraisals, conduct cost assessments, nominate and approve vendors, and justify approvals while overseeing work execution to ensure adherence to approved quality standards and specified volumes.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment on a daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual basis, implementing both in-house and outsourced preventive maintenance strategies to minimize overall equipment breakdown maintenance costs.

With a minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within the LPG or Oil & Gas sector, preferably in Ghana or West Africa, the ideal candidate will bring proven expertise to the role.
