Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of responsibilities to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. The Community Relations Manager (CRM) is tasked with fostering strong, mutually beneficial relationships between AURORAL and the local communities to secure a reliable workforce, thereby enhancing the company’s sustainability and viability as an employer for youth and women across its operational areas.

We foster and sustain strong connections with stakeholders while actively managing relationships to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. This involves regular communication, understanding their needs, and addressing concerns to build trust and collaboration. We are actively seeking a dedicated professional to oversee and implement our Community Development Programs, which aim to foster sustainable growth and enhance the quality of life within local neighborhoods. The ideal candidate will design, coordinate, and evaluate initiatives that address key community needs while collaborating with stakeholders, local authorities, and residents to ensure alignment with broader development goals. Responsibilities include securing funding, managing program budgets, and measuring impact through data-driven assessments. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, or a related field, along with at least three years of relevant experience in community engagement or development. Proficiency in grant writing, project management, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Resolves conflicts and manages grievances effectively by employing structured mediation techniques and fostering open communication channels to address employee concerns promptly and impartially. Ensures fair and consistent resolution of disputes while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and labor regulations. Ensures adherence to all applicable regulatory standards and frameworks, as well as obtaining and maintaining the necessary social licenses to operate, by implementing robust compliance programs, conducting regular audits, and engaging proactively with stakeholders to address concerns and uphold corporate social responsibility commitments.

We cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with farmers and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality agricultural products. This role requires regular communication to verify product availability, negotiate terms, and address any logistical challenges. You will oversee contract compliance, monitor supplier performance, and resolve disputes as needed. Additionally, you will evaluate new sourcing opportunities to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness in our supply chain. Facilitates clear, concise, and timely communication across teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and progress. Prepares and distributes regular reports, updates, and presentations to convey key insights, achievements, and challenges. Cultivate and sustain robust, trustworthy connections with key stakeholders in host communities, including community leaders, agricultural producers, customary authorities, governmental representatives, and non-governmental organizations.

Act as the designated liaison between the organization and key community stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities include development and oversight of the community relations budget to ensure optimal allocation and management of financial resources.

Develop and oversee a robust community grievance mechanism that facilitates the receipt, documentation, and resolution of community member complaints in an efficient and transparent way.

Proactively assess communities for early indicators of tension or conflict and design and implement targeted mitigation strategies to address them effectively.

Facilitate constructive dialogues among the company, farmers, and community groups to resolve disputes collaboratively and maintain harmonious relationships.

Diligently document all grievances and their respective resolutions to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with established procedures.

To safeguard the company’s continued acceptance and legitimacy within all host communities, maintaining the “social license to operate” must remain a top priority. This involves actively engaging with local stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly, and fostering sustainable relationships to ensure ongoing mutual trust and cooperation.

• Oversee adherence to applicable national and international regulations governing community engagement, environmental and social impact, and human rights considerations.

Collaborate with governmental entities and regulatory authorities on matters concerning community initiatives and compliance.

Liaise collaboratively with the sourcing team to cultivate and sustain robust partnerships with smallholder farmers and fruit suppliers integral to the company’s supply chain.

Develop comprehensive community engagement strategies, create compelling communication materials, and design impactful awareness campaigns, utilizing local languages as required.

Compiles periodic reports detailing community engagement initiatives, stakeholder input, and program effectiveness for executive evaluation.

Oversee the company’s public perception and standing in local host communities to foster positive relationships and maintain a favorable reputation.

Partner with the marketing and communications team to showcase community development initiatives within corporate publications and external media channels.

Assess and analyze the performance of every community engagement and corporate social responsibility initiative to determine its impact and efficacy.

Regularly perform comprehensive social audits and conduct detailed community satisfaction surveys to assess engagement and identify areas for improvement.
