The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MFA) is responsible for formulating and implementing policies, programs, and strategies aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and ensuring food security across the nation. It oversees the development of the agricultural sector by providing technical assistance, financial support, and regulatory frameworks to farmers, agribusinesses, and related stakeholders. Additionally, MFA conducts research, promotes sustainable farming practices, and facilitates market access for agricultural products to boost rural incomes and economic growth. The ministry collaborates with international organizations, private enterprises, and other government agencies to drive innovation, improve infrastructure, and address challenges such as climate change and post-harvest losses. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFA) seeks candidates who are committed to combating rural poverty through sustainable agricultural development. Fluency in English and another UN language is required, along with proficiency in financial analysis, project management, and partnership development.
