Job Summary

We are in search of a highly skilled and driven Electrical Technician to enhance our technical team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing electrical and fire safety systems, with a primary focus on fire alarm and emergency systems.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and align with long-term business objectives. Serve as a primary liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration. Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess team productivity and identify areas for improvement. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company standards while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous development. Prepare detailed reports to track progress and present findings to senior leadership for informed decision-making.

• Responsibilities include the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and control panels to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.

Inspect, maintain, and repair emergency lighting systems as well as backup power units to ensure operational reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Investigate and resolve electrical malfunctions in fire safety systems and associated equipment.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance procedures on fire detection and suppression systems to ensure their optimal functionality and compliance with safety regulations.

Ensure that every installation strictly adheres to established safety protocols and meets all relevant regulatory mandates.

• Evaluate and analyze electrical and fire system drawings and schematics to ensure accurate interpretation of system designs and compliance with relevant standards.

Respond without delay to incoming service requests and urgent equipment failures to ensure minimal downtime.

Maintain precise and up-to-date service reports, ensuring all documentation is thoroughly and accurately recorded.

Collaborate effectively with engineers and safety officers to ensure seamless project installations.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with project management tools and methodologies; ability to work well in team environments and autonomously; familiarity with data analysis and reporting techniques; exceptional organizational and time-management skills; and a keen attention to detail.

• Diploma or NVTI Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field

A minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in electrical or fire safety systems is required.

Individuals must possess a solid understanding of fire alarm systems, control panels, and emergency lighting systems to effectively fulfill the role’s technical demands.

Demonstrates proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues within electrical circuits and systems.

Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices.

Proven capacity to operate autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication proficiencies along with strong reporting capabilities.

Possessing a valid driver’s license is beneficial.

Perform electrical installation tasks and ensure ongoing maintenance of systems to uphold operational reliability and safety standards.
