Duties will be performed in Sweden and Aura Dunkwa.
Organize and lead bi-weekly meetings with AIM savings groups.
• Facilitate the receipt of savings deposits from participants in the AIM program.
Ensure that every savings transaction is accurately documented in both passbooks and digital platforms/DFA systems.
Ensure meticulous documentation of member savings, attendance, and engagement metrics.
Collected savings are deposited at the branch office in accordance with established organizational protocols.
Ensure the secure handling and transport of cash in strict compliance with established organizational policies and procedures.
Cultivate meaningful connections with AIM participants while fostering consistent savings practices.
Coordinate meeting schedules, track attendance, and provide participant updates in collaboration with the AIM PA team.
Facilitate seamless transitions and oversee the administration of AIM groups dedicated to savings operations.
• Regular updates on savings performance and participant engagement with Branch Manager.
• Conduct two to three groups meetings per day
The meetings will be held at the following scheduled times: the first at 8:30 AM, the second at 9:30 AM, and the third at 10:30 AM. Please note that these timings may be adjusted depending on office hours.
• Reach the meeting place 15 minutes before the group meeting begins
Provide assistance in conducting Financial Literacy Training (FLT) sessions as needed.
Educate participants in cultivating disciplined savings practices while ensuring they understand the future accessibility of Microfinance services.
• Facilitate the seamless transition of eligible participants into Microfinance groups once they complete the 18-month savings cycle.
• Support assessment and onboarding of loan-ready participants.
Compiles comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports encompassing key metrics, operational data, and performance indicators, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established frameworks.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Savings Collection Specialist, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate collection of customer savings contributions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, customer service, or related fields, with proficiency in data entry and basic accounting principles. Key duties include processing savings deposits, maintaining accurate records, resolving customer inquiries regarding their accounts, and collaborating with team members to meet monthly collection targets. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Additionally, the role may require occasional travel to branch locations to support on-site collections.
Must maintain regular and punctual attendance, ensuring adherence to the established work schedule without exception.
Drive team outcomes by fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among group members to consistently achieve collective goals.
Demonstrated capability to facilitate and implement successful transitions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational requirements throughout the process. Proven track record of managing change effectively while maintaining productivity, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to established timelines. Experience in developing and executing transition strategies that minimize disruption and maximize efficiency in both short-term and long-term initiatives.
Attend scheduled staff meetings to provide updates regarding field activities and observations.
Report any operational or safeguarding issues to management without delay to ensure timely intervention and resolution.
Ensure all loan proposals submitted by members are reviewed and deliberated upon during group meetings.
Acceptance of loan proposals occurs by way of verbal votes conducted in the presence of all group members.
The Credit Officer will accurately input all pertinent loan details—including applications and guarantor information sourced from DP Notes—into the designated digital system.
After confirming the details of the loan application, establish a disbursement date and notify the member of the approved timing.
Attend the disbursement day in person and actively engage in the disbursement process.
The credit officer is responsible for attending weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly group meetings, with the critical responsibility of ensuring the full recovery of all loan installments.
Collected funds are deposited into the Branch Accountant’s account, and the transaction amount is recorded in the Daily Cash Report (DCR) along with the required signature.
Any missed installments during the morning group meeting must be followed by a visit to the borrowers’ or small group leaders’ homes in the afternoon to collect the payment.
In the afternoon, commence the process of collecting overdue payments, including late and NBL installments, as well as any current amounts owed.
To revive relationships with former clients whose loans were previously written off, this role involves proactively reaching out to offer the opportunity to rejoin BRAD as active customers.
Build and sustain courteous, professional interactions with every participant involved.
• Address participants’ feedback, including complaints, concerns, and suggestions, by evaluating them and implementing suitable measures in response.
Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined by BRAD Human Resources.
• Adhere to organizational Code of Conduct and safeguarding policies.
Execute any supplementary duties delegated by senior leadership as needed.
• Establish and maintain a safeguarding culture within all AIM groups.
To safeguard participants rigorously, you will actively prevent abuse, exploitation, harassment, and discrimination, ensuring their protection at all times.
Investigate and document any safeguarding incidents in compliance with established organizational protocols to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Foster a welcoming and secure environment to ensure all adolescent girls and young women can engage fully and confidently.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a strong ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, using tools such as Excel and SQL, is required to support decision-making processes. Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum is beneficial, as is the capacity to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within the [industry/sector, if applicable], is strongly preferred. The ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment is critical. Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset are necessary to achieve organizational objectives.
A minimum of a Senior High School Certificate (WASSCE) is required.
A minimum of one year of professional experience within a financial institution or a comparable industry is required.
• Prepare and process cash and bank transactions, including cash requisitions and cash certificates.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliation statements to ensure accuracy and alignment between accounting records and bank statements.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications, with demonstrated expertise in leveraging their functionalities for various tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential for successful collaboration and information exchange in this role.
