Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers and loaders.
Conduct preventive maintenance, execute engine overhauls, address transmission repairs, resolve brake system issues, service suspension components, and perform steering system work.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and attachments as necessary.
Diagnostic tools and service manuals are utilized to accurately identify issues and subsequently apply corrective measures.
Maintain precise documentation of repair activities, including parts utilized and hours dedicated to labor.
Diligently verify that all tasks adhere strictly to manufacturer guidelines and established safety protocols.
Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts and provide recommendations regarding reordering procedures.
Supervise and provide mentorship to junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.
Proven expertise in analytical problem-solving, with a strong ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights. Demonstrated proficiency in relevant software applications, including advanced Excel, statistical analysis tools, and enterprise resource planning systems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear articulation of technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. A Technical/Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering is required for this position.
Requires a minimum of three to five years of practical expertise in operating and maintaining Chinese heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery, specifically models from Shanty, Streak, How, or equivalent brands.
Proficient in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems, with a comprehensive understanding of each.
• Demonstrates expertise in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and conventional mechanic tools.
Demonstrates proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Physically capable with the ability to handle heavy components and perform duties in outdoor and workshop environments.
