The Social Media Manager serves as the ministry’s daily representative across all digital platforms, guaranteeing consistent, timely content delivery in the appropriate format and on the correct channel, paired with compelling captions. This role involves overseeing the online community that emerges around the content, addressing comments, elevating sensitive discussions to pastoral leadership, and cultivating engagement to transform followers into active partners or event participants.

This position focuses on strategic deployment rather than content creation, as that responsibility lies with the broader team. Your primary duties involve implementing initiatives thoughtfully and then cultivating and overseeing the resulting community growth.

Oversee critical operational duties including strategic planning, team leadership, and performance optimization. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to enhance productivity and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate progress and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to allocate resources effectively and drive sustainable growth. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous development within the team.

Schedule and distribute all content across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, ensuring timely publication in accordance with the editorial calendar, potentially utilizing a scheduling tool.

Daily oversight of platform comment sections is required, including prompt responses to general engagement, escalation of spiritually sensitive discussions or prayer requests for pastoral review, and enforcement of community standards through content moderation.

Oversee direct message communications across various platforms, ensuring inquiries are promptly directed to the appropriate personnel for resolution.

• Record and monitor weekly engagement metrics, including comment volume, direct message volume, and significant community interactions, and provide a concise summary in the weekly digital report.

Collaborate closely with the Content Designer to plan and schedule captions, and consult with the Video Editor to ensure all content meets formatting specifications for each platform prior to publication.

• Assist in enhancing event visibility during summits and other ministry gatherings by facilitating live social media updates, posting real-time content, and engaging with audiences as events unfold.

Monitor emerging faith-based discussions and cultural events that resonate with the ministry’s target audience, and promptly bring them to the attention of the Creative Director as potential content ideas.

Required competencies include proficiency in data analysis and reporting, demonstrated through hands-on experience with relevant tools and software. Applicants must possess strong problem-solving abilities to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights. Familiarity with statistical methods and data visualization techniques is essential for effectively communicating findings. Additionally, candidates should exhibit excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines. Collaborative teamwork is also a key requirement, as the role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to align data-driven strategies with business objectives.

What You Bring

• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in professional social media management is required, with proven expertise across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Professionals must possess an extensive understanding of social media algorithms and proven community management strategies that foster authentic engagement, moving beyond superficial performance indicators.

• Exceptional written communication skills are essential, particularly when crafting conversational responses that authentically convey the ministry’s voice with pastoral compassion and precision.

• Ability to discern when to engage directly in conversations versus when to escalate issues, ensuring responses are both timely and appropriate without unnecessary involvement.

The position demands unwavering responsiveness and dependability, as the community operates without pause, and this role must mirror that commitment during active posting phases.

A strong alignment with the ministry’s mission and a deep, authentic grasp of the target audience—comprehending their identities, needs, and the most effective means of communication—are essential.

We welcome applications from all qualified candidates who meet the outlined criteria. To be considered, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and qualifications.
