Job Summary
The Trade Developer will spearhead field-level sales efforts and optimize market coverage to enhance brand visibility, agent productivity, and overall sales performance. This role is accountable for meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets within the designated territory.
Oversee and execute critical duties that encompass a broad range of operational and strategic tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maintaining high standards across all functions. Implement and monitor processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality, while addressing any challenges that may impede workflow or performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster innovation, optimize resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a key interface between leadership and frontline staff, facilitating clear communication and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

• Source and integrate new individual wallet customers into the platform.
To facilitate wallet activation and guarantee that customers complete their initial transactions.
• Facilitate onboarding initiatives across various locations, including markets, campuses, transport hubs, and community events.
Proactively recruit and integrate independent merchants as well as small and medium-sized enterprises into the platform.
Ensure merchants are thoroughly versed in the product features and benefits to maximize their utilization and satisfaction.
Assist agents in driving customer acquisition initiatives and executing promotional campaigns to enhance engagement and conversion rates.
• Implement field marketing initiatives and promotional activities to drive engagement and brand visibility.
Maintain meticulous documentation of all onboarding procedures and processes.
Proficient in network administration, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN systems. Strong expertise in server management, virtualization technologies, and cloud services such as AWS or Azure. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous learning in emerging technologies. Must possess strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting technical processes.
Qualifications
A Senior Secondary School Certificate or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a closely related field is required.
• Requires a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in outside sales roles.
Applicants with prior involvement in the Mobile Money, Banking, Telecom, FMCG, or a comparable sector will be given preference.
Demonstrates a solid understanding and practical application of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to support sales, marketing, and customer service operations effectively.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word, with a strong working knowledge of their functionalities and features.
Demonstrates a strong aptitude for analyzing sales objectives and evaluating performance indicators.
Proficiency in the mobile money ecosystem and digital payment solutions is considered a valuable asset.
