JOB DESCRIPTION:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers, loaders, and related machinery.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks, engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake system servicing, suspension adjustments, and steering system repairs.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and attachments as required.
Diagnostic tools and service manuals are utilized to accurately diagnose issues and execute appropriate corrective measures.
Maintain precise documentation of repair activities, including parts utilized and hours expended.
Ensure strict adherence to all manufacturer specifications and established safety standards throughout all work processes.
Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts while providing guidance on reordering procedures to maintain optimal stock levels.
Offer guidance and support to junior mechanics or apprentices as needed, fostering their professional development and ensuring they acquire essential skills and knowledge.

A Technical/Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
Professionals with a minimum of three to five years of practical expertise in operating and maintaining Chinese heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery—including but not limited to Shanty, Streak, How, or comparable models—are encouraged to apply.
Proficient in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems, with in-depth technical expertise in each area.
Skilled in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and a wide range of standard mechanic tools to diagnose and repair vehicle systems effectively.
Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Physically capable of lifting substantial components and performing job duties in both outdoor and workshop environments.
