To oversee the interim assessment of the Championing Nutrition and Gender Equality (CHANGE) Project in Ghana.

Evaluate the existing nutrition and healthcare service infrastructure for the most economically disadvantaged and underserved groups, with a particular emphasis on women and children within the designated communities.

Review the up-to-date status of critical outcome and output-level indicators as defined in the project’s Performance Measurement Framework (PMF).

Analyze community members’, local stakeholders’, and potential partners’ perspectives on the production, processing, and storage of nutritious foods, as well as their insights on food security and community resilience.

Evaluate how various factors—both opportunities and constraints—affect the incorporation of gender-responsive nutrition strategies into district-level policies and programs.

Analyze the contextual, programmatic, and institutional elements that either facilitate or impede progress toward established objectives.

Develop actionable insights and strategic recommendations to inform project adjustments and bolster outcomes throughout the latter stages of implementation.

Primary data collection methods may encompass surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), key informant interviews (Kids), and structured observation, contingent upon the proposed methodology.

A thorough review of secondary data must encompass project reports, baseline findings, district and regional-level health and nutrition data, and any other pertinent literature.

All tools and methodologies must include the capability to disaggregate data by sex and age, as appropriate.

The consultant is required to employ participatory, inclusive, and ethically grounded approaches while adhering to Children Believe’s stringent standards for child safeguarding, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), data protection, and privacy protocols.

Prepare a comprehensive inception report that outlines a refined methodology, a detailed work plan, a structured sampling approach, a robust data collection plan, and established quality assurance arrangements.

Developed and endorsed quantitative and qualitative data collection instruments to ensure accurate and reliable research outcomes.

We will conduct fieldwork and gather data in the designated project areas.

• Develop a comprehensive mid-term evaluation report that effectively conveys key findings, detailed analysis, well-supported conclusions, and actionable recommendations.

The final mid-term evaluation report, excluding annexes, will comprise approximately 30 pages.

Relevant cleaned datasets and analytical files, ideally provided in Excel format, along with any agreed-upon supporting documentation from Children Believe, should be included.

Applied experience in Ghana within the domains of nutrition, maternal and child health, public health, gender equality, or community development is required.
