Wassa Amenfi landscape: Wassa Amenfi West, Wassa Amenfi East and Wassa Amenfi Central

Businesses with one or more employees, as well as cooperatives led by women, are eligible for consideration. Additionally, groups or companies composed of at least 80% female members qualify for inclusion.

The organization must be led by a female executive, ensuring gender representation at the highest level of leadership.

Activities must be conducted within one of the designated priority sectors to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. These sectors have been identified as critical areas of focus to drive impact and innovation. Participation in such activities is essential for fulfilling organizational goals and advancing key initiatives.

Women oversee agricultural production activities, including the cultivation of food crops, operation of market gardens, management of livestock farming, and oversight of fish farming operations.

Agri-food processing encompasses a range of products, including fish, Gary, cocoa, and other commodities, requiring expertise in transformation and value addition to meet industry standards.

Agricultural by-products and waste, particularly those from cocoa and other related sectors, are identified and transformed into value-added products through strategic valorization processes.

Experienced professionals are sought to support bakery and local catering services operated by women.

Activities that ensure no loss of biodiversity and produce no adverse effects on ecosystems.

Having membership in one of the 17 designated communities within the Weiss Amend and Lake Boomtown landscapes qualifies individuals for participation in the project.

The proposed business concept exhibits substantial potential for generating new employment opportunities, particularly for young individuals and women.

The company must have operated continuously for a minimum of twelve months.

You are required to contribute a minimum of 5% toward the total grant amount as co-financing.

Grant amounts provided by the project are capped at CAD 10,000 per entity, with a preference for funding equipment-related requests.

Priority will be granted to candidates who can effectively leverage applicable grants within three months of initial receipt.

These entities comprise businesses that employ a minimum of four individuals or are cooperatives—groups—spearheaded by either women or men.
