The assignment is structured for a fixed-term period lasting six months, with the possibility of extension contingent upon satisfactory performance and ongoing project requirements.

As the VIS GHANA Project Manager, the referee will oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while managing resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, and mitigating risks to deliver measurable outcomes. The role demands strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in project management within international development contexts. Familiarity with Ghana’s socio-economic landscape and adherence to donor compliance standards are essential.

• Oversee field-level project operations and activities, providing guidance to ensure the execution of implementation schedules aligns precisely with the detailed activity plan.

Perform consistent data collection and analysis to monitor project progress effectively.

To ensure seamless collaboration and transparency, oversee communication flows and promote the exchange of critical information among the project team, collaborating partners, and local community beneficiaries.

Compiles monthly and operational reports, systematically documenting ongoing activities and providing regular updates on multidisciplinary assessments.

• Collaborate with diverse community stakeholders to engage and activate community leaders, representatives, and local government officials, ensuring their active participation in the execution and enhancement of project initiatives.

Oversee the administrative facets of the scholarship initiative, encompassing the coordination of application procedures, facilitation of communication with recipients, and meticulous management of associated documentation.

• Conduct day-to-day oversight of expenditures, gather all necessary supporting documentation, and submit expense-related records to the administrative office promptly.

Oversee field-based procurement activities, which involve pinpointing requirements, securing suitable suppliers, soliciting competitive quotes, and upholding adherence to established organizational policies and procedures.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed or delegated by the Project Manager to fulfill the organization’s service standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

A relevant academic background, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or an equivalent field, is required for this role.

With a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in international cooperation, specifically within community development and mobilization, the ideal candidate will bring a strong background to this role.

Accumulated experience in a comparable professional capacity is highly desirable.

Seasoned professionals with a track record in overseeing on-site execution and logistical coordination are strongly encouraged to apply. • A minimum of two years of relevant procurement experience is required.

Proficient in utilizing computer systems with a strong emphasis on the Microsoft Office suite, including applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Professionals should possess a proven background within the education sector, specifically in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (VET) environments.

Experienced in gathering both qualitative and quantitative data through structured methodologies and fieldwork techniques.

Proven capability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders through effective communication and engagement.

Diligently manage and finalize assignments within established deadlines to maintain workflow efficiency and project momentum.
