The Social Media Manager serves as the ministry’s daily representative across all digital platforms, ensuring consistent, timely content delivery in the appropriate format and on the designated channel, paired with engaging captions. This role involves cultivating and overseeing the community that emerges around the content, actively engaging with comments, elevating sensitive discussions to pastoral leadership, and fostering relationships that transform followers into active supporters or event participants.

This position focuses not on content creation—handled by other team members—but on strategically implementing and fostering the resulting community engagement.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational efficiency, and team leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators to drive measurable outcomes, optimize resource allocation, and streamline processes for enhanced productivity. Lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor team members, and cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with senior leadership to shape business strategies, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for growth and scalability. Serve as a pivotal liaison between departments to ensure seamless communication, alignment of goals, and execution of initiatives that support long-term success. Maintain rigorous adherence to compliance standards, risk management protocols, and industry best practices to uphold organizational integrity and sustainability.

Schedule and distribute all content across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, ensuring alignment with the editorial calendar, potentially utilizing a scheduling tool.

Monitor all platform comment sections on a daily basis, addressing general interactions, escalating spiritually sensitive discussions or prayer requests for pastoral review, and enforcing community standards to ensure appropriate content.

Oversee direct message communications across various platforms, efficiently directing inquiries to the appropriate contacts for resolution.

To ensure comprehensive documentation, maintain a weekly engagement log where you track comment volume, direct message volume, and any significant community interactions, subsequently compiling these metrics into a succinct summary for inclusion in the weekly digital report.

Work collaboratively with the Content Designer to align on caption scheduling and with the Video Editor to ensure compliance with platform-specific formatting guidelines prior to content publication.

• Facilitate enhanced event visibility during summits and other ministry gatherings by providing live coverage, posting timely updates, and engaging with audiences in real time.

Flag emerging themes and cultural narratives aligned with the ministry’s target audience, promptly notifying the Creative Director of potential content ideas generated by these faith-based discussions and moments.

As essential qualifications for this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data sets, exceptional communication skills for conveying insights to diverse stakeholders, and advanced technical expertise in relevant software or tools. What You Bring
