Process incoming deliveries of knockdown (KD) parts, components, and consumables with precision and efficiency.

• Ensure that received quantities, part numbers, and product quality align precisely with the details provided on delivery notes, purchase orders, and packing lists.

Report any discrepancies, damages, or non-conformities to the procurement team promptly for immediate resolution.

Assign bin locations and organize parts in a structured manner, applying FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expire, First-Out) inventory management principles.

Maintain a well-structured and clearly labeled warehouse environment to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of both heavy-duty and light-duty vehicle parts.

Ensure heavy components are stored securely to mitigate the risk of damage and to streamline retrieval processes.

Accurately manage inventory records by utilizing the organization’s ERP or warehouse management system.

• Perform cycle counts and assist with monthly and quarterly physical stock takes.

Monitor inventory levels vigilantly to identify when critical or high-demand components require replenishment, and promptly initiate reorder alerts to prevent stock outs.

Issue materials and components to assembly line technicians in accordance with authorized requisition documentation.

Responsible for preparing and updating daily records documenting receipts, issued items, returns, and transfers.

Compile weekly and monthly warehouse reports that detail stock status, identify slow-moving items, and highlight discrepancies.

• Ensure adherence to established safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proper lifting techniques, and appropriate stacking procedures.

Ensure hazardous materials, including batteries, oils, and lubricants, are stored in adherence to all environmental and safety regulations.

Maintain the accessibility and operational readiness of fire exits, extinguishers, and all other emergency equipment at all times.

Oversee and mentor a team comprising warehouse assistants, forklift operators, and temporary laborers to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety standards.

Collaborate closely with the procurement, production, and quality control teams to facilitate an uninterrupted flow of materials throughout the process.

Required competencies include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, with a preference for advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure accuracy in documentation, contracts, and compliance-related materials. Additionally, familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, is highly advantageous for streamlining workflows and delivering results efficiently.

Qualifications

A minimum qualification of an HND or a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.

Professional certification, such as CULT or SAP certification, would be highly beneficial.

• Candidates must possess a minimum of two to three years of hands-on warehouse or stores experience, ideally within a manufacturing, automotive assembly, or heavy equipment setting.

Applicants with prior involvement in the handling of automotive spare parts or engineering components will be given strong consideration.

Demonstrates extensive expertise in inventory management principles, including First-In-First-Out (FIFO) methodologies, stock control protocols, and barcoding technologies.

• Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, specifically for generating stock reports.
