Businesses employing one or more individuals—or cooperatives governed by women—qualify when groups or companies maintain at least 80% female membership.

• Female leadership is essential, with the position requiring a woman to lead the organizational structure.

Activities must be associated with one of the designated priority sectors.

Women oversee agricultural production activities, which include cultivating food crops, operating market gardens, raising livestock, and managing fish farming operations.

• Processing of agri-food products, including fish, cassava (Gary), cocoa, and other commodities.

Through strategic repurposing and enhancement of agricultural by-products and waste streams—particularly from cocoa production or alternative sectors—you will drive sustainable value creation and circular economy initiatives.

Professionally run bakery and local catering services operated exclusively by women.

Activities that maintain ecological integrity by ensuring no depletion of biodiversity or adverse effects on natural habitats.

As a member of one of the 17 designated communities within the Weiss Amend and Lake Boomtown landscapes, your involvement is integral to the success of this project.

The business or proposed venture showcases substantial potential for generating employment opportunities, particularly for young people and women.

The business must demonstrate a minimum of 12 months of continuous operation to be considered eligible.

Individuals should submit an application for funding, which may be allocated as monetary support, hardware, or training aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, or a blend of these options.

• Provide a co-financing contribution of at least 5% of the total grant amount.

Grant amounts per entity under the project are capped at CAD 10,000, with a preference given to those seeking funding for equipment.

Proficiency in utilizing applicable grants within three months of their initial receipt will be prioritized.

• These are businesses with more than three employees, or a cooperative (group) led by women or men.

The initiative or prospective venture presents a significant opportunity to primarily advocate for women’s interests.

• The business or proposed business idea demonstrates significant job creation potential (for youth and women).

• The business must have been in existence for at least 12 months.

• They must request a grant in the form of cash, equipment, or productivity-improvement training, or a combination of all three.

To ensure shared financial commitment, applicants must contribute a minimum of 2% of the total grant amount as co-financing.

Cash grants provided through the initiative are capped at CAD 15,000 per eligible entity, with a preference given to applications seeking support for equipment purchases.
