The position is based in Accra.
Daily attendance, client visitations, and employee movement must be verified and documented each day.
Conduct on-site evaluations at both business premises and residential locations to identify prospective entrepreneurs and accurately assess their suitability.
Prospective entrepreneurs must present a comprehensive set of documents, including a valid trading license, land agreement, tenancy agreement, spouse consent, and details for nominees and guarantors, among other required paperwork, for verification purposes.
Prepare and finalize all required documentation for loan disbursements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Gather all necessary documentation from individual clients and for loan disbursements.
• Verify that monthly installments are paid promptly via mobile money or bank transfer.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports as well as detailed target plans, ensuring thorough documentation throughout the process.
After loan disbursements are completed, conduct borrower visits to ensure compliance and support.
Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify the accuracy and quality of disbursements in the field.
• Collaborate closely with account managers and legal counsel to finalize and execute essential legal documentation.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly requisitions for loan disbursements to ensure timely financial processing.
Ensure the accurate and timely disbursement of funds while maintaining consistent collection of overdue payments on a monthly basis.
Gather and submit information regarding a borrower’s or dependent’s death to insurers promptly.
• Conduct follow-ups to collect written-off loans and ensure they are deposited into the appropriate accounts.
Consistently uphold the Microfinance staff Code of Conduct and interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
Dedicate efforts to delivering exceptional service quality to clients, both in the field and at the branch office.
Demonstrates attentive listening to client feedback, addressing concerns and opinions with tailored solutions while ensuring clear communication and empathy throughout the interaction.
Compile and transmit detailed progress reports in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all relevant data and metrics are thoroughly documented and conveyed to stakeholders as required.
To foster a comprehensive safeguarding culture throughout every tier of the program, implement the safeguarding policy effectively at all levels.
Serve as a pivotal resource for providing support, guidance, and specialized knowledge on safeguarding to foster a secure working environment.
To uphold organizational standards, this role involves overseeing the provision of necessary training, guidance, and resources for team members to address and resolve issues in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
In the event of any reportable incident, ensure compliance with the safeguarding reporting procedure and actively promote its use among others.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. Candidates must possess strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for effective collaboration. Experience with project management tools and software is preferred. A keen attention to detail and the capacity to work under pressure are also necessary. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with CRM systems would be advantageous.
A high school diploma or its equivalent, such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), is required.
• Prepare and process cash and bank transactions, including the preparation of cash requisitions and cash certificates.
• Perform bank reconciliation statements to ensure accuracy and alignment between accounting records and bank statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications is required.
A minimum of one year of professional experience within the microfinance or financial institution sector is required.
