Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties central to the role, including the management and execution of key projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines and quality benchmarks. Duties are overseen by the Assembly Plant Manager, ensuring alignment with overall operational objectives and adherence to established guidelines.
• Handle the receipt of incoming shipments containing knockdown (KD) parts, components, and consumables.
To ensure accuracy, verify quantities, part numbers, and quality by meticulously cross-referencing delivery notes, purchase orders, and packing lists.
Report any discrepancies, damages, or instances of non-conformity to the procurement team without delay.
Assign bin locations systematically and store parts based on FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO principles.
Maintain a meticulously clean, orderly, and clearly labeled warehouse environment that houses both heavy-duty and light-duty vehicle parts.
Heavy components must be stored securely to safeguard against damage while ensuring efficient retrieval.
Responsible for ensuring the precision of inventory records by leveraging the company’s ERP or warehouse management system.
• Perform cycle counts and contribute to monthly and quarterly physical inventory counts.
Monitor inventory levels and promptly generate reorder notifications for essential and high-demand components.
Issue authorized requisition notes to assembly line technicians for the distribution of parts and materials.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily records documenting all receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.
Compiles and produces weekly and monthly warehouse reports, including stock status updates, slow-moving item analysis, and discrepancy documentation.
Enforce adherence to established safety protocols, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), adherence to safe lifting techniques, and proper stacking procedures.
Ensure that all hazardous materials, including batteries, oils, and lubricants, are stored in strict adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
Ensure all fire exits, extinguishers, and emergency equipment remain unobstructed and fully operational at all times.
Responsibilities include overseeing and providing direction to warehouse assistants, forklift operators, and casual laborers to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and quality control teams to facilitate an uninterrupted and efficient material flow throughout operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
Professional certification, such as CULT or SAP certification, would be a valuable asset.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of two to three years of warehouse or stores experience gained within a manufacturing, automotive assembly, or heavy equipment setting.
Highly preferred is prior experience with automotive spare parts or engineering components.
Demonstrates extensive proficiency in FIFO methodologies, inventory management, and barcoding technologies.
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel is required to generate and manage stock reports accurately.
Demonstrates meticulous focus on precision and exactness in numerical computations.
