JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Duty Station: Ellembelle District, Western Region (GHANA).

A competitive position will commence on July 1, 2026.

A six-month contract with the possibility of renewal is available.

• The VIS GHANA Project Manager will serve as the primary referee for all project-related inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely responses to stakeholders.

Coordinate and supervise on-site project operations to guarantee adherence to established timelines and the execution of all planned activities in strict accordance with the approved schedule.

• Perform systematic data collection and analysis to monitor project advancement.

• Serve as the central liaison for communication, ensuring seamless information exchange among the project team, implementing partners, and community-level beneficiaries.

Compiles monthly and operational reports while providing consistent updates on ongoing activities, including multidisciplinary evaluations.

Additionally, you will collaborate with diverse community stakeholders to promote their active participation, ensuring the engagement of community leaders, representatives, and local government officials in the execution and enhancement of project activities.

Oversee the operational facets of the scholarship initiative, ensuring seamless coordination of application procedures, maintaining clear communication with recipients, and meticulously managing all associated documentation.

Monitor daily expenditures, gather the necessary supporting documentation, and verify that all expense-related records are submitted to the administrative office in a timely manner.

Oversee on-site procurement activities, which encompass determining requirements, evaluating potential suppliers, soliciting competitive bids, and ensuring adherence to established organizational policies and procedures.

Any additional responsibilities or tasks assigned, as determined by the Project Manager or deemed necessary to uphold the organization’s service standards, may also be required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or an equivalent field of study is required.

With a minimum of three years of professional experience in international cooperation, specifically emphasizing community development and mobilization initiatives, you will be well-prepared for this role.

With prior experience in a comparable position, you will have developed a strong foundation in the relevant responsibilities and requirements of this role.

Demonstrated success in overseeing and directing field-based operational activities is essential.

Seasoned professionals with a background in procurement are encouraged to apply.

Individuals with a proven track record in logistics operations are strongly encouraged to apply, as demonstrated experience in this field is essential for success in this position.

Candidates must possess relevant professional experience obtained within the Western region.

Proficient in utilizing computer systems, with a strong command of the Microsoft Office suite, including applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.

Possessing prior experience within the education sector, particularly in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (VET) environments, is essential.

Experienced in gathering both qualitative and quantitative data through established methodologies.

Demonstrated capability to build and maintain professional relationships through effective engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Ensure all tasks are completed promptly and efficiently, adhering to established deadlines and project schedules. Maintain a proactive approach to workload management to deliver consistent and reliable results while supporting team objectives and organizational goals.

Duties encompass maintaining strict confidentiality and handling sensitive information with the utmost care and professionalism at all times.
