Funded by the European Union, Corinth initiated the Gold for Good project in northern Ghana earlier this year to enhance conflict-sensitive governance, environmental accountability, and institutional coordination in regions impacted by artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM). This initiative seeks to bolster the operational capabilities of local authorities, security providers, and regulatory agencies, fostering responsible natural resource management and harmonious community relations.
Corinth is currently seeking a Technical Coordinator for Peace and Security to spearhead the initiative’s security, enforcement, and conflict prevention strategies, ensuring full technical and operational preparedness.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational efficiency, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Lead cross-functional initiatives, monitor performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize workflows and achieve key business objectives. Collaborate with senior management to align departmental goals with broader corporate vision, ensuring seamless integration and execution of initiatives. Identify and mitigate risks, resolve escalated issues, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to uphold brand reputation and operational integrity.
Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the Technical Coordinator for Peace and Security will deliver technical expertise, oversee coordination efforts, and ensure quality assurance concerning security governance, law enforcement collaboration, and conflict-sensitive artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) management.
The successful candidate will collaborate with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders to establish enforcement and oversight mechanisms for natural resource governance that are coordinated, rights-based, and founded on trust.
Provide strategic technical direction and oversee collaborative efforts to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with organizational objectives.
We deliver specialized training programs and provide expert technical support to enhance operational capabilities and ensure efficient implementation of initiatives.
We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee Quality Assurance, Monitoring, and Learning initiatives, ensuring adherence to established standards and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective measures as needed. The role is designated as Technical Coordinator within the Peace and Security domain.
• Position is based in Bole, Ghana, with regular travel to northern districts required.
A 12-month contract term is required for this position.
Full-time employment, equivalent to a 100% workload, is required for this position.
As the Operations Manager, this person will report directly to the senior leadership overseeing daily operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maintaining high efficiency standards across all teams.
• Offer expert technical advice regarding the peace and security aspects of natural resource management and artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) governance.
• Spearhead the strategic planning and oversight of diagnostic evaluations, capacity assessments, and institutional analyses within designated districts.
Collaborate with law enforcement, environmental, and regulatory agencies to strengthen accountability and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement diagnostics, training programs, action plans, and tools that adhere to stringent technical and methodological standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure that conflict sensitivity, human rights, gender considerations, and environmental safeguards are fully integrated into all interventions.
Provide assistance in establishing and implementing inter-agency coordination frameworks among District Assemblies (DISEC’s), District Municipal Councils (DMCs), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Minerals Commission, law enforcement (Police), Immigration services, and traditional leadership structures.
Support the integration of project deliverables into relevant district and national frameworks, such as ASM Action Plans, DMC structures, and EPA monitoring systems, as needed.
Conduct thorough reviews of technical reports, training modules, and consultant deliverables to ensure their accuracy and compliance with established standards.
Responsible for managing the design and implementation of customized training initiatives specifically developed for enforcement personnel, environmental specialists, and governance professionals.
Facilitate the organization and co-delivery of technical workshops and training-of-trainers sessions as required.
Offer mentorship and technical support to district-level institutions such as District Monitoring Committees (DMCs), District Inspectorates of Schools and Examination Centers (DISEC’s), and School Assemblies.
Assist with interagency field deployments, regulatory compliance inspections, and environmental assessment initiatives as assigned.
Ensure methodologies are grounded in community engagement, uphold fundamental rights, and adapt to the specific security and governance dynamics of the local context.
Review and assess technical outputs, training materials, and consultant deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards.
Provide technical support for the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) framework by conducting data collection and performing detailed analysis to inform decision-making processes.
• Compile and distribute insights and effective strategies on coordinated enforcement initiatives and community outreach efforts.
Provide assistance in the ongoing enhancement and adaptive management of intervention strategies to ensure sustained efficacy and improvement.
• Serve as the central liaison between Corinth, academic collaborators (including Mat), regulatory bodies, and local organizations regarding technical affairs.
Interpret field data, evaluations, and research outcomes with precision to formulate actionable operational recommendations.
Collaborate on the mid-term assessment and final evaluation by documenting evidence-based insights and lessons learned.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contractual basis.

Required competencies include proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and report generation. With a minimum of seven to ten years of experience in senior advisory or technical coordination capacities within the realms of peace and security, law enforcement coordination, or conflict-sensitive governance.
Seasoned professional with a track record of excellence in security sector governance, strengthening institutional capabilities, and fostering seamless inter-agency collaboration.
Individuals should possess demonstrated experience in liaising with various law enforcement and regulatory entities, including but not limited to police departments, the Environmental Protection Agency, Minerals Commission, Immigration authorities, and Forestry services.
• Possesses proven expertise in conflict-sensitive programming, border governance, and community-oriented policing initiatives.
Demonstrates a proven history of collaboration with government agencies, municipal bodies, and customary leadership in West Africa, with a preference for prior engagement in Ghana.
Demonstrates a robust history of fostering open communication and cultivating trust among state and community stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in managing or supporting initiatives funded by external donors is essential.
