JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary
The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, welding, and assembling metal parts and structures according to technical drawings and specifications. The role involves operating welding and fabrication equipment, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards in the workshop or project site.
Responsibilities
• Location: Accra & Tema
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal materials using fabrication tools and equipment
• Perform welding activities using appropriate welding techniques and machines
• Inspect welded structures and fabricated components for quality and accuracy
• Repair damaged metal parts and structures when required
• Operate and maintain welding and fabrication tools safely
• Ensure all work is completed according to project specifications and deadlines
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use protective equipment at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with installation of fabricated structures at project sites when required
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Qualifications
• Technical Certificate, vocational training, or apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication or related field
• Proven experience as a welder/fabricator in construction, manufacturing, or engineering industries
• Knowledge of welding techniques, metal properties, and fabrication processes
• Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately
• Physically fit and able to work with heavy equipment and materials
