Job Summary
The Husky Machine Technician performs installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair duties for Husky injection molding machines within manufacturing environments. This position focuses on sustaining optimal machine performance, reducing operational downtime, and contributing to production goals while upholding stringent quality and safety protocols.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives forward. Develop, implement, and monitor initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, team productivity, and overall business performance. Liaise with stakeholders at all levels to align projects with company goals, ensure clear communication, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation. Analyze data trends, identify key insights, and recommend actionable strategies to optimize workflows and meet KPIs. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices while ensuring timely and accurate reporting to leadership. Operate, maintain, and perform troubleshooting on Husky injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Conduct routine inspections, address mechanical or operational issues, and implement corrective measures as needed to uphold production standards and machine reliability.
Execute routine upkeep and repair tasks for machinery and associated support systems to ensure optimal functionality and minimize operational disruptions.
• Identify and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ensure all machinery is correctly configured and prepared for production runs to maintain optimal operational efficiency and quality.
• Observe machine operations closely and implement corrective measures as needed to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
Proactively uphold operational efficiency by executing swift repairs and performing regular maintenance to prevent unplanned production interruptions.
Diligently verify that all products adhere to established quality standards, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements throughout the production process.
Responsible for preparing, organizing, and updating all maintenance records and reports ensuring accurate documentation of activities, compliance with standards, and timely reporting to relevant stakeholders.
Adhere to established safety protocols and company guidelines consistently in all aspects of work.
Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to address and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
Provide support for machine setup and commissioning as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
Proven expertise in project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, with a strong ability to adapt to evolving project needs. Proficiency in utilizing project management software such as Jira, Asana, or Trello to track progress, allocate resources, and ensure timely project delivery. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify risks, assess impacts, and implement corrective actions. A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality results. Experience in stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++ is essential, as is familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile and Scrum. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions are required. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies in the field.
A diploma, technical certificate, or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a closely related discipline is required.
Requires a minimum of two to five years of hands-on experience operating Husky injection molding machines.
Demonstrates extensive expertise in injection molding techniques and the operational aspects of associated machinery.
Proficient in interpreting technical manuals and schematics with precision and clarity.
Proficient in diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions with a methodical approach. Demonstrates strong analytical abilities to identify root causes and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
