JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Perform diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers and loaders.
Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, conduct comprehensive engine overhauls, repair transmission systems, service brake components, inspect suspension assemblies, and address steering system issues.
• Conduct welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and attachments as needed.
Diagnostic tools and service manuals are utilized to accurately diagnose problems and promptly execute the necessary corrective measures.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours.
• Verify that all work adheres to manufacturer specifications and complies with applicable safety standards to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory of commonly used spare parts and advise on reordering.
Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics or apprentices as needed, fostering their professional development and ensuring skill enhancement through hands-on instruction and constructive feedback.
Strong proficiency in [specific software/tools, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, or industry-specific platforms] is mandatory, along with exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all outputs. Proficient in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems, with a demonstrated understanding of their operation and maintenance.
Skilled in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and conventional mechanic tools with precision and efficiency.
Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Capable of performing demanding physical tasks, including lifting heavy components and working in both outdoor and workshop environments.
