To perform the mid-term assessment of the Championing Nutrition and Gender Equality (CHANGE) Project in Ghana.

Evaluate the existing nutrition and healthcare service infrastructure for underserved and vulnerable groups—with a focus on women and children—within the specified communities.

Review progress against the critical outcome and output-level indicators as defined in the project’s Performance Measurement Framework (PMF).

Conduct in-depth evaluations of input from community members, local stakeholders, and prospective partners concerning the development, processing, and preservation of nutritious foods, as well as issues of food security and community resilience.

• Analyze factors that impact the incorporation of gender-responsive nutrition strategies within district-level policies and programming efforts.

Analyze contextual, programmatic, and institutional factors to determine their influence on advancing or hindering the accomplishment of established objectives.

To formulate practical insights and strategic suggestions that will inform project adjustments and improve overall effectiveness throughout the remainder of the implementation phase.

Primary data collection methods may encompass surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), key informant interviews (Kids), and structured observation, as determined by the methodology proposed in the study.

The secondary data review must encompass project reports, baseline findings, district and regional level health and nutrition data, and all other pertinent literature.

All methodologies and instruments employed must accommodate disaggregation by sex and age, as appropriate.

The consultant is required to utilize participatory, inclusive, and ethically grounded methodologies while adhering to Children Believe’s stringent child safeguarding, SEA, data protection, and privacy protocols.

Prepare a comprehensive inception report outlining the refined methodology, detailed work plan, sampling strategy, structured data collection plan, and robust quality assurance protocols.

Developed and secured authorization for quantitative and qualitative data collection instruments.

A postgraduate degree in public health, nutrition, international development, social sciences, management, sociology, social work, or a related field is required; possession of a higher-level qualification will be considered advantageous.

With a minimum of 10 years of cumulative, advanced-level experience, candidates should have led or significantly contributed to participatory evaluations, studies, or reviews of intricate health, nutrition, MNCH, or gender-focused programs.

Applicants must possess proven, hands-on experience in Ghana within one or more of the following domains: nutrition, maternal and child health, public health, gender equality, or community development.
