Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers and loaders.
Perform a range of routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and adjustments to ensure optimal performance. Conduct comprehensive engine overhauls to restore functionality and reliability. Address and repair transmission systems, brake assemblies, suspension components, and steering mechanisms to maintain vehicle safety and efficiency.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and related attachments as required.
Employ diagnostic instruments and service manuals to diagnose malfunctions and execute appropriate corrective measures.
Diligently document all repair activities, including parts utilized and hours of labor, to ensure precise record-keeping.
Ensure strict adherence to all manufacturer specifications and established safety standards throughout all work activities.
Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts and provide guidance on when to replenish stock.
Demonstrate leadership by guiding and supporting junior mechanics or apprentices in their professional development when necessary.
