Serendipity Co. Ltd. leads Ghana’s sole commercial palm oil initiative, partnering with smallholder farmers and operating a “traditional” rural palm oil mill. This endeavor supplies certified organic and fair trade palm oil to brands across Europe and the United States, while fostering sustainable rural development in the Eastern Region.
A highly motivated and meticulous HR Assistant is required to enhance our team’s capabilities.
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives. Lead cross-functional teams to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and foster innovation across departments. Oversee the implementation of best practices to maintain high standards of performance and accountability. Collaborate with senior leadership to refine business strategies, address challenges, and capitalize on emerging opportunities. Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as needed. Serve as a primary liaison between departments and executive leadership to facilitate seamless communication and decision-making processes.
Provide support throughout the recruitment and onboarding phases to ensure smooth integration of new employees into the organization.
Responsible for the accurate management and upkeep of employee records and HR documentation. Ensures all personnel files, compliance forms, and related materials are properly organized, updated, and stored in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Provide assistance with payroll and attendance management procedures.
Provide support for managing leave procedures and addressing staff welfare concerns.
Compiles and reviews HR reports and correspondence to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to the HR department, encompassing a wide range of tasks to ensure smooth operational workflows and enhance departmental efficiency.
Professional Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights. Proficiency in relevant software tools, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), and familiarity with project management platforms such as Asana or Trello, are essential. Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate across teams and convey information clearly to stakeholders. Prior experience in a similar role, demonstrating adaptability and a results-driven mindset, is highly preferred.
A Bachelor’s or Diploma in Human Resource Management or a closely related discipline is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in both verbal and written communication, along with exceptional organizational capabilities, is essential.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a strong grasp of their core functionalities.
The role demands discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential information, ensuring adherence to privacy protocols and maintaining the integrity of classified data.
Proficiency in prior roles within human resources or administrative functions is highly beneficial.
