Context and justification

Under the European Union’s sponsorship, Corinth initiated the Gold for Good project in northern Ghana earlier this year, designed to bolster governance that is conflict-sensitive, enhance environmental accountability, and improve institutional coordination in regions impacted by artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM). The program seeks to strengthen the operational capabilities of local authorities, security personnel, and regulatory bodies to advance responsible natural resource stewardship and foster harmonious community relations.

Corinth is initiating the recruitment of a Technical Coordinator for Peace and Security to oversee the security, enforcement, and conflict prevention aspects of this upcoming initiative, thereby ensuring technical and operational preparedness.

Key duties involve overseeing project timelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. Additionally, the role requires managing stakeholder communications, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in relevant software tools, and the ability to lead teams through complex challenges. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is mandatory, along with at least five years of hands-on experience in a similar capacity.

Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the Technical Coordinator for Peace and Security will oversee technical leadership, coordination, and quality assurance initiatives concerning security governance, law enforcement alignment, and conflict-sensitive artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) management.

The incumbent will collaborate with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to establish coordinated, rights-based, and trust-building enforcement and oversight mechanisms for natural resource governance.

Technical leadership and coordination are essential responsibilities, involving guiding cross-functional teams through complex projects by establishing clear technical roadmaps and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. This role demands strong problem-solving abilities to navigate technical challenges and mitigate risks effectively. Additionally, it requires excellent communication skills to bridge gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring cohesive execution. Experience in leading agile or waterfall methodologies, coupled with a deep understanding of system architecture, is critical for driving innovation and maintaining operational excellence.

We offer comprehensive training and technical support to enhance operational capabilities and provide guidance on specialized tasks.

We are seeking a Quality Assurance, Monitoring, and Learning Specialist to oversee and enhance our systems for ensuring high standards, tracking performance metrics, and fostering continuous improvement within the organization. The successful candidate will evaluate processes, identify areas for enhancement, and implement solutions to maintain excellence. Responsibilities include developing and executing quality assurance protocols, analyzing data to monitor progress, and designing training programs to promote skill development and learning initiatives across teams. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with stakeholders to align quality standards with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. A strong background in quality management, analytical skills, and experience in instructional design are essential. Proficiency in data analysis tools and a commitment to continuous learning are also required.
