Job Purpose

The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in managing and optimizing daily haulage operations to guarantee the smooth transportation of trucks, drivers, and cargo while upholding operational excellence, safety standards, and customer satisfaction.

Oversee a comprehensive range of duties, including the management of daily operations, ensuring seamless workflows, and maintaining high standards of efficiency across all processes. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, foster collaboration, and drive project success through strategic planning and execution. Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance productivity and operational excellence. Additionally, supervise staff performance, provide guidance and mentorship, and cultivate a positive, results-driven work environment. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards while delivering consistent, measurable results.

Responsibilities include organizing daily transportation schedules and allocating appropriate trucks and drivers to ensure smooth operational workflow.

Monitor vehicle operations and verify that shipments are delivered punctually to maintain efficient logistics flow.

Liaise with drivers, clients, warehouse staff, and management to address operational issues and ensure smooth coordination across all parties.

Maintain comprehensive fleet documentation by systematically tracking fuel consumption, adhering to prescribed maintenance calendars, and ensuring all vehicle records are accurately updated and accessible.

Ensure the fleet remains operational by orchestrating all scheduled vehicle servicing and maintenance activities, thereby maintaining peak readiness at all times.

• Oversee driver attendance, evaluate performance, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Prepare and uphold operational reports and transport documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.

Through proactive engagement, identify and address operational hurdles while facilitating timely solutions to customer inquiries.

Verify adherence to all applicable transportation regulations and established company protocols.

Possesses proficiency in project management software, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills. Must demonstrate expertise in budgeting and financial analysis, with a keen eye for detail. Requires experience in data interpretation and reporting, as well as familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards. Must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
