Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers and loaders.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, execute comprehensive engine overhauls, conduct transmission repairs, address brake system issues, service suspension components, and rectify steering system malfunctions.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and attachments as required to ensure structural integrity and operational efficiency.
Employ diagnostic equipment and reference service manuals to accurately pinpoint malfunctions and execute appropriate remedies.
Accurately document all repair activities, including parts utilized and labor hours expended.
• Guarantee that all tasks adhere strictly to manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts and provide guidance on reordering procedures to maintain optimal stock levels and operational efficiency.
Demonstrate leadership by providing guidance and support to junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
A Technical/Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification is required.
With a minimum of three to five years of practical experience in servicing and maintaining Chinese heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery—such as Shanty, Streak, How, or comparable brands—you are well-prepared for this role.
Demonstrates a deep understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems, among other mechanical disciplines.
Skilled in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and conventional mechanic tools with precision.
Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Physically capable with the strength to lift heavy components and comfortable working in outdoor or workshop environments.
