JOB DESCRIPTION:
Serendipity Co. Ltd. is Ghana’s sole commercial palm oil enterprise that collaborates with smallholder farmers and operates a “traditional” rural palm oil mill. The initiative, which holds organic and fair trade certifications, supplies multiple brands across Europe and the United States while fostering sustainable rural development in the Eastern Region.
We are in search of a proactive and meticulous HR Assistant to become an integral part of our team.
Oversee daily operations to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to established standards. Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency across all departments. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals, fostering collaboration and innovation. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous growth. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while maintaining high-quality deliverables. Provide mentorship and guidance to staff, promoting professional development and engagement.
Assist in the execution of recruitment initiatives and the facilitation of new hire integration.
Responsible for the accurate and up-to-date management of employee records and HR documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
Provide assistance with payroll and attendance systems to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation and work hours. Collaborate with human resources and finance teams to maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Verify data integrity, resolve discrepancies, and address employee inquiries related to payroll and attendance records.
Provide administrative support for leave management processes and initiatives aimed at promoting staff well-being.
Compiles and produces comprehensive HR reports and formal correspondence as required by internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to organizational standards.
• Offer comprehensive administrative assistance to the HR department, handling routine tasks and ensuring efficient departmental operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
A degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or a related discipline is required for this position.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in both verbal and written communication, along with a high degree of organizational ability, ensuring efficient task management and clear information exchange.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications with a strong understanding of their functionalities and capabilities.
The role requires a high degree of discretion and integrity when managing sensitive or confidential information, ensuring it is handled in accordance with established protocols and safeguarded at all times.
Having prior experience in human resources or administrative roles would be beneficial.
