JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duty station for this position is Accra.
• Verify daily attendance, track movement, and validate client business visits.
Conduct on-site visits to entrepreneurs’ business premises and residences to evaluate their ventures and potential thoroughly.
Verify the required documentation from prospective entrepreneurs, including trading licenses, land agreements, tenancy agreements, spouse consents, and details of nominees and guarantors.
• Compile and finalize all required documentation for loan disbursements to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Gather all necessary documentation from individual clients and for loan disbursements.
Ensure timely settlement of monthly installments via mobile money or bank transfers.
• Prepare and document necessary reports and target plans
After loan disbursements, conduct in-person visits to borrowers to assess their progress and address any concerns they may have.
Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify the accuracy and quality of disbursements in the field.
• Collaborate with Account Managers (AM’s) and legal counsel to finalize and execute legal documentation.
Prepare weekly and monthly requisitions to facilitate loan disbursement.
Ensure accurate and timely disbursement of funds each month while maintaining rigorous standards for quality control. Additionally, oversee the systematic collection of overdue payments to uphold financial accountability and minimize delinquencies.
• Promptly gather and submit accurate information regarding the borrower’s or their dependents’ passing to insurers in a timely manner.
• Pursue the recovery of written-off loans by obtaining necessary documentation and processing deposits into designated accounts.
Consistently uphold the Microfinance staff Code of Conduct while demonstrating professionalism and respect in all client interactions.
Dedicate yourself to delivering outstanding service to clients, whether they’re interacting at the field site or within the branch office.
Listen attentively to clients’ feedback, complaints, and concerns, analyzing their input thoroughly before determining the most suitable course of action.
Compiles and submits detailed progress reports in accordance with established timelines and organizational standards.
To foster a safeguarding culture at every level of the program, the role involves executing the safeguarding policy to ensure its full implementation.
Serve as a primary resource for providing counsel, direction, and specialized knowledge on safeguarding to foster a secure workplace.
Ensures team members receive the necessary training, guidance, and resources to address and resolve issues as outlined in the safeguarding policy and procedures.
In the event of any reportable incident, adhere to the safeguarding reporting procedure and promote its use among colleagues.
We seek candidates with strong analytical abilities and proficiency in data interpretation to enhance decision-making processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively across teams. Proficiency in industry-relevant software and tools is mandatory, along with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all deliverables. Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines is required. A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development is also expected.
A high school diploma, such as a WASSCE certificate, is the minimum educational qualification required for this position.
Performs cash and bank transactions, prepares cash requisitions and cash certificates, and conducts bank reconciliation statements.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications.
With a minimum of one year’s background in a Microfinance or financial institution setting, you will have demonstrated hands-on involvement in financial services delivery.
• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for documentation, data analysis, and reporting purposes.
Effectively communicate with clarity and professionalism across various channels and interactions.
Proficient in crafting clear, concise, and accurate written communication in English, including reports, articles, and other documentation, with a strong command of grammar and style.
