ISODEC seeks to engage a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at our premises. This is an urgent vacancy.
Job Purpose
To maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in ISO DEC offices and shared spaces, ensuring a secure and inviting atmosphere for employees and guests.
Oversee a range of critical operational tasks and strategic initiatives to ensure seamless business performance and compliance with established standards. Develop and implement departmental policies, processes, and protocols to enhance efficiency, productivity, and accountability across all functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, streamline workflows, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring to meet defined milestones, budgets, and quality benchmarks while mitigating risks and addressing challenges proactively. Analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend data-driven solutions to optimize outcomes and drive organizational growth. Serve as a key liaison between senior leadership and frontline teams to communicate goals, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with broader company objectives. Maintain rigorous adherence to regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal controls to uphold operational integrity and mitigate legal exposure.
Reporting Line
The Cleaner will operate under the direct supervision of the Administrative Officer or another designated supervisor.
Terms of Engagement
• Perform sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming duties across office floors, hallways, and shared spaces.
Duties include removing dust from furniture, fixtures, windows, and doors, as well as ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
Empty waste bins and discard refuse in compliance with established waste management protocols, ensuring all discarded materials are handled and removed in a timely and appropriate manner.
Clean and maintain restroom facilities by thoroughly sanitizing all surfaces, ensuring optimal cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld. Replenish essential toiletries as needed to guarantee an adequate supply for users at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and pantry areas by washing dishes, cups, and other utensils as required.
Any maintenance issues, damages, or supply requirements must be promptly reported to the supervisor.
Ensure strict compliance with established health and safety protocols when handling and applying cleaning chemicals to mitigate risks and maintain a secure work environment.
Assist with various additional cleaning tasks as directed by management when necessary.
• The position requires a commitment of one day per week, with the day and time determined through consultation during the hiring process.
Remuneration will be calculated on a pro rata basis according to the number of days worked, with the final salary and allowances subject to discussion during the interview.
Immediate start available; the selected candidate will be required to commence work promptly following finalization of the hiring process.
Contract Type: Temporary, with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Candidates must possess a comprehensive skill set including proficiency in project management tools, exceptional analytical abilities, and strong communication skills. Experience with data analysis and reporting is essential, alongside the capacity to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Familiarity with industry-specific software and a track record of delivering results are highly desirable.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is required, along with familiarity with databases like MySQL or MongoDB. Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also necessary.
• Proficiency in fundamental reading skills, enabling comprehension of straightforward instructions and documentation.
Preferred candidates will have prior office cleaning experience.
